𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁:
The Madison County Department of Solid Waste is partnering with Proshred for a FREE document shredding event at the Buyea Road Residential Station this Spring. Residents do not need to register for this event to attend.
Madison County residents can bring a MAXIMUM of 4 filing boxes of personal and confidential documents for shredding on:
Saturday, May 31
8 AM to 11 AM*
*Or until the truck is full, whichever comes first
Buyea Road Residential Station
6666 Buyea Road, Canastota
Due to limited space in the shredding truck, the 4 box limit will be enforced in order to ensure that as many residents as possible have a chance to shred their personal documents. If you have more than 4 boxes from your household, please hold onto the remaining boxes until our Fall shredding event in Hamilton or check with your local Community Bank branch to see if they will be hosting a shred event later this year. Business waste will NOT be accepted.
𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹:
-Residents must remain in their vehicle at ALL times.
-Please have the boxes or paper bags easily accessible in the back of your vehicle for event staff to access them. Empty boxes will be returned to the vehicle.
-Do NOT put material in plastic bags.
ACCEPTABLE MATERIALS: Medical documents, bank information, tax records, and other paperwork containing account numbers or private details are ideal for shredding. Keep documents loose in the boxes or in paper bags. Staples are fine.
Do 𝗡𝗢𝗧 bring magazines, junk mail, phone books, or photographs. Please remove any non-paper items such as binders, plastic folders or metal rings.
We hope to see you there!
