Middle School Book Club

Join us at the Wamego Public Library on Monday, October 20th at 4:00 pm for the Middle School Book Club! This month, we’ll be reading New Kid by Jerry Craft.

This graphic novel is about Jordan Banks, who loves drawing cartoons - but instead of going to art school, his parents send him to a fancy private academy where he’s one of the only kids of color. As he tries to fit in, stand out, and stay true to himself, Jordan finds that being the “new kid” isn’t so easy. In some ways, though, it can lead to pretty great stories!

We’ll enjoy snacks, games, and activities as we share our thoughts on the book.
