Walton Spring Clean Up

There is going to be a Walton Clean Up event, sponsored by the Village of Walton and the Walton Chamber of Commerce. Mayor BJ Eilertsen, Beth O’Brien and Patty Wood will be coordinating the effort. And the track team with Coach Ian Clerkin and the basketball team with Coach Crystal Stanton, are already on board to help. We’d love some of those athlete’s parents to come along too! Van Lawn, the new family company of David VanLoan and his sons are also signed up.
We are looking for more volunteers to help sweep, clean storefronts, and pick up trash along Delaware St, and hopefully other streets as well. The volunteers will meet at Vet’s Plaza on Sunday, May 18 at 1 p.m. to coordinate the plan and get an assignment of where to help.
We would also encourage clubs, organizations or just neighborhoods to “adopt a street” and clean up in your own neighborhood, or one that could be coordinated for you. Contact Beth O’Brien at 607-434-1319 if you have a group that wants to pick a street.
