The free press has been considered a revered cornerstone of American liberty since the founding of our country. Yet, today’s news media has seemingly been under attack—certainly, many recent events have seen government wielding unprecedented control over media sources, all while the entire field of professional journalism has undergone tremendous upheaval and transformation in the wake of the digital revolution.
We will examine this unfolding crisis in a meaningful, intelligent panel discussion. How does the burden of socio-political polarization impinge on journalistic integrity? Are there solutions to the problems the media faces? These panelists will explore these questions and more:
