You are warmly invited to this restorative yin yoga class, followed by sound healing with crystal bowls, on Sunday 2nd November at Aldridge Community Centre, 5.00pm-7.00pm.
Yin yoga is the ability to be able to connect with yourself and give yourself what you need. The 5 principles of Yin are stillness, time, release/relaxation, edge of comfort, and breath.
The yoga poses are held for time to allow meditation and mindfulness, helping you to become emotionally aware and to release stress/ tension, both mentally and physically. The poses can be supported with props (yoga bolster, blankets, cushions).
The potential benefits of this practice? Loads! Yin yoga can help to calm the central nervous system, lower your heart rate, balance hormones, balance emotions, prevent joint rigidity as we age, improves flexibility, nourishes your internal organs, improves mental clarity and focus and encourages mindfulness.
The last hour of the session will be crystal bowl sound healing, provided by Selina at Sound Healing Heaven. Selina is a warm and talented sound healer, and the beautiful sound of the crystal bowls will help you drift away into a blissful meditation.
No experience of yoga is necessary; this is a slow and meditative practice. It is very much floor-based, so the ability to sit or lie on the floor for long periods is required.
*You will need to bring a drink, yoga mat, yoga bolster or alternative, blankets, eye mask, cushions, and any other items to ensure your comfort and for propping.

If for any reason you do need to cancel, the ticket can be transferred to another individual or rolled over to my next event.
