Please join me for this restorative yoga class with myofascial release. This session will teach you the art of rest and slowing down to aid relaxation and tranquility.
We'll begin with self-massage using a massage ball (provided or feel free to bring your own). Massaging the body in this way helps to hydrate the fascia, an intricate webbing inside the body that covers joints and muscles, which can aid in softening and releasing, helping to alleviate pain, tension, and stiffness, and allowing you to melt into the restorative yoga shapes.
I will then guide you into calming and soft floor-based shapes, allowing you to still your mind and stretch your body.
No experience of yoga is necessary; this is a slow and gentle practice. It is very much floor-based, so the ability to sit or lie on the floor for long periods is required.
WHAT TO BRING
Wear something comfortable for movement and to be cosy.

Massage ball, tennis ball, or a dog ball for the myofascial massage (I do have spares if required).
Yoga Bolster (if you don't have one, you can place 2 pillows in one pillowcase; this works well!) or cushions and blankets (mainly for propping/ comfort purposes for the yin yoga session).
Bottle of water.
