About the event

Pont-Senna / Sennybridge

A 10 mile moderate walk on the east and west of the Cilieni river north of the River Usk. Starting from Pont Cyntefin we head north up to Trallong Common to reach the edge of Mynydd Epynt. Then heading down Cwm-Llech and a refreshment stop at the remote Tafarn-y-Crydd (Shoemaker's Arms) before heading over common land to Cefn Twrch and Pentre'r-Felin.

We pass two old mountain chapels of interest - Capel Beili Du (1790) and Zoar (1823) along our way. Although not easily seen near Pont Cyntefin is Llwyncyntefin, a 16th/17th century gentry house which is in private ownership.

Cyntefin is an old Welsh word meaning 'beginning of summer, first month of summer, May'. Mwynhau! Enjoy!
