About the event

Funny Beeseness at Walsall Arena: Russell Kane
We are delighted to launch a brand new comedy club with our friends at the award-winning Funny Beeseness – and what a line up to kick things off!

RUSSELL KANE
Multi-award-winning comedian, presenter, actor, author and scriptwriter Russell Kane is a regular on TV, with appearances including Live At The Apollo, The One Show and Steph’s Packed Lunch.

His chart-smashing BBC Radio 4 / BBC Sounds podcast show Evil Genius quickly became a flagship show and was the best performing original podcast on the platform. It was so popular it was even turned into TV by BBC Studios for Sky TV.

Winner of Best Show in 2010 at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, Russell went on to make history as the first comedian to win both the Edinburgh Comedy Award and Melbourne Comedy Festival’s Barry Award in one year.

“An evening long fix of stand-up espresso….one of the quickest, most stimulating stand-ups in the land” The Times

STEPHEN BAILEY
Known for being a proud northern, working class, gay man, his brand of gossipy humour has singled him out as one of the UK’s most sought-after talents for comedy and entertainment formats.

Stephen’s quick-wit, playful sarcasm and enigmatic charm captivates instantly. He has already made a name for himself hosting Celebs on the Farm (Channel 5), Celebs on the Ranch (MTV) and Takeshi’s Castle (Comedy Central), as well as two appearances on Live At The Apollo.

“Fabulously funny” The Guardian

JO ENRIGHT
Jo has appeared alongside in Phoenix Nights, I’m Alan Partridge and played the female lead Sue in in Life’s Too Short, directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. Jo also played Angela in three series of ITV’s The Job Lot.

“Jo Enright is one of the most naturally gifted comic talents I’ve ever seen. I’d put her in the same league as Julie Walters.” Peter Kay
