331 (Chesterfield) Squadron RAF Air Cadets are recruiting!
Flying, Gliding, Leadership, Adventure Training, First Aid, Fieldcraft, Shooting, Drill, Space, Duke of Edinburgh, Cyber, STEM, Road Marching, Music and so much more!
We are pleased to share that we are now in a position to have an intake of new Cadet recruits. Prospective Cadets are invited to attend the Squadron on ***either*** Friday 5th September or Monday 8th September to gain an insight into who we are, what we do and what will be expected of them.
Following their initial intake night, Cadets who choose to join us will begin attending on ***both*** Monday and Friday evenings, from Friday 12th September.
Cadets must be 12 years old ***and*** in Year 8 at school before they can join. They must also join before their 17th birthday.
Cadets need to arrive at 331 (Chesterfield) Squadron (located within Wallis Barracks Army Reserve Centre on Boythorpe Road) between 18:30 and 18:40, where there will be a member of staff on the gate to let them in. Cadets should dress in appropriate civilian clothing for the weather as the parade night is likely to take place both inside and outside.
Cadets will leave the Squadron shortly after 21:00. On drop off and pick up, please do not turn into the Barracks, or stop on the double yellow lines outside: the Queens Park Car Park opposite the Barracks on Boythorpe Road can be used for drop off/pick up.
After a few weeks of parades, parents and carers will be invited down to the Squadron where we will give a brief presentation about the RAF Air Cadets and 331 Squadron, and answer any questions you may have. The cadets will be informed of this date to pass onto you.
