📖 About the Class
Welcome to The Story Studio at Gather — a weekly read–make–play experience designed for children ages 2–5 and their caregivers! Each session brings a beloved storybook to life through hands-on art, sensory play, and social connection in a warm, welcoming environment.

🎉 In Week 2, we’re exploring The Color Monster by Anna Llenas. This heartwarming story helps kids identify and understand their emotions — and we’ll bring it to life with:
Calming Sensory Bottles – Create your own soothing, glittery bottle to match a monster’s emotion.
Color Sorting Station – Sort bright, colorful materials into monster jars to help organize their feelings.
Monster Mixed Media Collage Craft – Layer tissue paper, painted cardboard, and other textures to design your very own Color Monster.
Fork Painting Monsters – Use forks and paint to make silly, spiky monsters, finished off with a pair (or three!) of googly eyes.

Monster Play Doh Station– Sculpt, squish, and shape your own little Color Monster with Play-Doh.

In Week 2, kids will:

👶 Recommended Age
Ideal for children ages 2–5. Parent or caregiver attendance is required. This is not a drop-off class — we encourage you to play alongside your little artist!
