Vintage Classroom

Join members of the Waldo Theater for the week at the Boggs Schoolhouse.
Vintage Classroom creates a day in the life of a one room schoolhouse in 1888.
The program combines historical reseach and education with theater and improvisation to present a living history that offers young people a deeper understanding of our local past.

Students are greeted by a teacher who will teach lessons on elocution, history and responsibilities. They will be visited throughout the morning by a cast of local characters including the music teacher, quarry workers, ship builders and the school superintendent. The entire experience is interactive and engaging, while giving the children a deeper understanding of their past by inviting them to be a part of it.
