Please join us outdoors at Jackie Van Dusen's Acorn Cottage on the South Lawn for a multi-instrumental Gong Bath! Gongmasters for this event are Drumsinger A. Michelle and Russell Kramer.
Combining performance and sound therapy for a deeply relaxing meditation this event is created in harmony with improvisational vocals, gongs, singing bowls, flutes, and drums. The goal is deep meditation to support the body, mind and spirit.
Instruments are played around the audience, who relax on mats or chairs to receive the sound. Although each session does follow a loose structure, the event is live, and one-of-a-kind, just like the participants.
Benefits often include: relief of pain and stress, a general feeling of being refreshed in your body, mind and spirit!
Session often begins with a guided relaxation. At session’s end, participants are led in gentle yoga stretches and other grounding exercises.
Bring what you need to be comfortable on the ground – chair, mat, pillow, blanket, pad, stuffed animals, crystals, whatever makes you happy. Bring water to hydrate yourself. Gong bathing is thirsty work!
No experience required. Recommended for ages 12 and up.
About A. Michelle
Playing gongs helps me tune to the sacredness of the moment. It is a way to offer prayers of love and healing without overthinking. The gongs carry the frequency of love and have the potential to restore wholeness to the soul that listens. My job is to facilitate the space of listening.
I’ve brought this integrative practice of energy healing and sound therapy to healthcare, private and professional audiences since 2008.
