The Nature Conservancy is looking for Seed Watch volunteers to help identify and document native groundcover species at Piney Grove Preserve.
Join our Virginia Pinelands Restoration Specialist, Andi Clinton, for a training at Piney Grove. We will learn how to identify plant species on our native groundcover restoration list, and go on a walk around the preserve to attempt to locate some of them. Volunteers will ideally have some basic plant ID skills.
Following the training, volunteers will be asked to visit Piney Grove to search for and document locations of the desired species. We will eventually collect seed from these areas to support our groundcover restoration work!
