As part of Wakefield’s Rhubarb Festival, join the free to take part 𝗥𝗵𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗯 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝘁 – a fun, family-friendly activity designed to get you exploring Wakefield city centre and discovering local businesses.
Around 50+ rhubarb will be displayed in shop windows or inside participating businesses across the city. Your challenge is to spot as many as you can as you explore.
You don’t need to find them all – just have a go and enjoy discovering new places along the way.
𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁:
• Pick up a 𝗥𝗵𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗯 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝘁 entry sheet from the 𝗪𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗕𝗜𝗗 𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁.
• Look out for rhubarb stickers in shop windows
• Write down the names of the businesses where you find each rhubarb
• Return your completed entry sheet to the 𝗪𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗕𝗜𝗗 𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁
𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝗻:
• Winners are decided by the 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗵𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗯𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱
• The participant who finds the 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 rhubarb stickers will win
• If there is a tie, a winner will be chosen at random from the highest scorers
𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀:
• £100 cash prize raffle – everyone who finds all the rhubarb will be entered
• 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲 – Rhubarb hamper and 2 x theatre tickets for the person who finds the most rhubarb
• 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿-𝘂𝗽 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀 – 2 x Theatre tickets for the next highest finders
𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄:
• The Wakefield BID team will be based at the BID tent throughout the scavenger hunt
• Suitable for all ages and perfect for families
• Free to join and take part at your own pace across multiple days
