Diverse Book Club - The Poet X

This month's book is The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo.

Join the CoffeeWrite Diverse Book Club in 2025 and read books you might not usually pick up.

Our choice for May is a unique novel written in verse about the power of language and speaking your own truth. It was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize 2019 and the CILIP Carnegie Medal 2019 and won the 2018 National Book Award.

It's free to attend this CoffeeWrite book club session but please support the venue by buying a drink on the night.
