Balance in yoga is far more than just being able to hold a fancy pose and those who regularly come to my classes know that this is exactly what YOGA ISN’T!
.
As we age, it becomes a critical component of independence, safety, and overall well-being.
.
Balance is a “use it or lose it” skill. The complex systems that keep us upright begin to decline if not challenged.
.
Yoga maintains and improves balance, making it a powerful tool for healthy aging and that’s why in nearly all my classes I’ll throw balance in.
.
Next Tuesday 30th September for my beginners class at 6pm, we will dedicate a full 45 minutes on “ Balance “
.
It’ll be fun, but we will also be building strength in the ankles and legs in a safe environment with soft landings 🤭.
.
As we age We naturally lose muscle mass (a condition called sarcopenia) particularly in the legs and core.
.
These are the very muscles essential for stability.
.
The hidden superpower however is Sharpening the Brain-Body Connection (Proprioception).
.

Our Tuesday evenings dedicated to beginners, it’s a 45 Yoga class, tailor made for beginners.
.
So why a seperate class you ask, when beginners are welcome to all classes?
.
I am asked so many times about beginners classes and whether I can do specific beginners classes weekly instead of an actual course!
.
Committing to a 6 week or 4 week course just isn’t easy for most people , especially with family commitments, illness etc.
.
So my beginners Tuesday started back in the summer of 2023 and due to its popularity is still going.
.
So how will it work you ask?
.
Each week you’ll get a different beginners class covering the following.
.
* Sun Salutations
* Breathwork
* Hatha
* Meditation
* Standing postures
* Seated postures
* Yoga for a stronger back
* Yoga for shoulders
* Yoga for hips
* Beginners yin
* Beginners Nidra
* YogaRoller
* Divine in the Flow Yoga
* Slow Flow
* Yin Yang

Each week will be something different, doesn’t matter when you start but it’ll be beginners level every week.
.
Yoga is accessible to all, you don’t need to be super bendy, you Can be any age, any gender, and you don’t need to wear anything special.
You don’t need equipment I have everything you need, all you need to do is book on which Tuesday you want to come along.
.
No obligation, no membership fees, your time, your choice and just ÂŁ8 a class.
.
It’s important to get a good basic knowledge of Yoga before you start your own practice, and I always recommend coming along to a studio so a teacher can help adjust, assist and give you alternatives to work with, all these things arnt really available when you learn online.
