Tickets are $35 for the evening.
Hi, I’m Sarah, and I’m formally (but not too formally) inviting you to come junk with me.
Welcome to the first-ever "Intro to Junk Journaling" crafting class — where we turn scraps into treasures and give a whole new meaning to the phrase cut and paste your feelings. Whether you’ve been junk journaling for years or you’ve just Googled it five seconds ago, this class is for you.
Here’s the deal:
If you already know what junk journaling is — awesome. Bring your current journal and plan to use it.
If you have no idea what junk journaling is — even better. You’ll get a starter journal when you arrive, included in the class price.
Now, here’s a little homework (but the fun kind):
Between now and class, I encourage you to look around your life and start collecting little things that feel like you.
A receipt from your favorite coffee shop, a tag off your kid’s new backpack, a doodle from a meeting that should have been an email — anything that tells your story.
You don’t have to bring anything. You can absolutely show up empty-handed and have a blast using my treasure trove of vintage paper goodness — think 1950s ads, 60s and 70s nostalgia, all the 90s/Y2K vibes, and current-day embellishments. But if you want to add your own personal touch, this is your permission slip to start noticing the beauty in the "junk" around you.
My stash is here to enhance your story, not tell it.
All you need to bring is an open mind and your charming personality. (We’ll supply the scissors, glue sticks, washi tape, stickers, magazines, playing cards, and all the other stuff you never knew you needed.)
Your hosts for the evening will be me, Sarah, and my best friend Desiree. We’re just two moms who rediscovered joy after a rough year by cutting up paper and gluing it back together. Turns out, that’s therapy. We want to share that magic with you.
Here’s what to expect:
A two-hour class with casual, step-by-step guidance.
We’ll create your first "spread" together—basically, the first page in your journal, where you’ll set an intention or tell a story without needing to write a single word (unless you want to, because there are no rules here).
Light snacks will be provided because gluing is hungry work.
You’ll have free rein to rummage through our curated chaos of vintage ephemera, CD inserts, Cartoon Network clippings, Hello Kitty everything, and enough retro nostalgia to make your inner 10-year-old squeal.
This is a come-as-you-are, no-judgment zone. We’re here to feel our feelings with glue and scissors, laugh, create, and maybe even heal a little. Whether you're looking for a new hobby, a night out, or just an excuse to play with stickers like it's 1997, this class is for you.
We can’t wait to junk with you. It’s going to be rare. I hope you are there.
