Matariki mā Puanga Hākari
We invite you all to a community hāngi on the 22nd of pipiri (June) to give thanks for the year gone by, and celebrate Matariki mā Puanga with a kai together.

💫 If you would like to contribute veges, meat or funds;
✨ We will need kaimahi for vege prep on the Saturday beforehand;
💫 It is encouraged to bring a salad, raw fish, or something pre-made to contribute to the hākari.
On the day, we are welcome to set up there for the day, be with our whānau, have the kids run about and simply be together and soak up the goodness of ao Māori and Matariki mā Puanga celebrations.
Bring whatever makes you comfy, snacks, drinks, whatever you need for the kids, whariki, mats, chairs, wai, don't forget your plates, and cultery!
The Piha Recovery Steering Group and Residents and Rate Payers collective have fronted the bulk of this cost, any sponsors or donations are welcomed. Ngā mihi Fiona and the campground for giving us the space.
