Kekuna Family Reunion 2025

More details on locations, timing, and housing options will be shared, but here is our tentative schedule and activites:

Friday, October 3, 2025 – “Optional Tour Day”

We’re arranging tours to several historical sites:

• Kawaiaha’o Church (~9:30am)
• Iolani Palace (~10:30am)
• Royal Hawaiian Band (~12:00pm)
• Bishop Museum & Planetarium(afternoon)

Please note: Participants will need to be responsible for their own travel, parking, and cash for tours. Each tour's cost will depend on how large our group is. For lunch we'll plan to have $5 bento boxes as a food option, but feel free to bring your own picnic lunch as well.

Saturday, October 4, 2025 – “Family Reunion Day”

This will be the official day for the family reunion at the Wahiawa Ryusenji-Soto Mission (~9:30am – 5:00pm), featuring presentations and discussions on topics like:

• Genealogy
• DNA Testing
• Ancestry
• Heritage
• Ti Leaf Crafting (great for keiki!)
• Family Stories
• Family Talent Show
• Songs and Dance of Ka’u
• A Family Group Picture

We're asking attendees to bring in food for a pot luck like we did for the 2023 reunion. We'll provide genealogy charts and other materials. Entertainment will be led by Henry Tonga and song sheets will be provided for everyone to learn and participate.

Sunday, October 5, 2025 – “Optional Beach Day”

Come relax with the family on beach day, tentatively schedule to be at Magic Island at Ala Moana. Logistics and food options will be provided at a later date.

Monday, October 6, 2025 - “Optional Golf Day” (NEW!!)

We are considering a morning golf outing at the newly renovated Pearl at Kalauao Golf Course. This was changed from Friday as the course is fully booked on that day. We're still finalizing details, but we expect that green fees could be around $60–$100.
