A Trauma-Informed, Somatic, and Holistic Foundation in Yoga
This 200-hour training is a deeply embodied path for those seeking to live and share yoga from a place of presence, integrity, and inner knowing. It offers a unique integration of ancient yogic wisdom with contemporary trauma-informed, nervous system-based practices.
Rooted in traditional Hatha Yoga and expanded through somatic tools, polyvagal theory, and functional movement, this training gently guides students into personal transformation — while building the skills, confidence, and clarity needed to teach from lived experience.
Whether you're called to teach, deepen your self-practice, or bring yoga into your healing work or everyday life—this journey supports you in coming home to your body, breath, and authentic voice.
What Makes This Training Trauma-Informed?
We recognise that every student carries their own story—body, history, and lived experience—and that true transformation happens in safe, regulated, and respectful spaces.
This training is designed to be:
Nervous-system aware:
We explore the science of safety through applied polyvagal theory, understanding how the body holds stress, trauma, and resilience.
Somatically led:
Students learn to listen to the body’s subtle cues through practices in internal tracking, somatic mapping, and embodiment.
Choice-based and invitational:
All practices are offered in a way that supports autonomy, boundaries, and inner agency—without pushing, fixing, or overriding.
Relational and grounded in connection: We work in circle, creating a compassionate container for personal exploration, co-regulation, and shared learning.
This training doesn't just teach you how to instruct yoga—it holds you in a journey of becoming more fully yourself, so that what you offer is rooted in truth and integrity.
About Integrative Yoga
Integrative Yoga is a form of Hatha Yoga that weaves together the traditional eight- and seven-limbed yogic paths with modern embodiment and somatic tools. It is a living, evolving system that brings together:
Classical teachings from the Gheranda Samhita and Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras
Alignment-based, spinal-safe asana
Myofascial release and functional movement
Nervous system education and applied polyvagal theory
Yin yoga and internal tracking
Pranayama, mudra, mantra, meditation
Trauma-informed sequencing and language
Through this synthesis, we engage the body, breath, mind, emotions, and spirit in a unified and respectful way—inviting profound insight, integration, and liberation (moksha).
A Living Philosophy: The 10-Limbed Path
The Integrative Yoga system unfolds through a unique 10-limbed framework that builds a holistic, sustainable practice:
Shatkama – Purification of the body through kriya
Yama – Ethical grounding and relational clarity
Niyama – Cultivation of inner integrity and self-discipline
Asana – Spinal-safe posture as a vehicle for steadiness
Mudra & Bandha – Energy cultivation and subtle body activation
Pranayama & Mantra – Breathwork and sound to clear stagnation
Pratyahara – Withdrawing the senses to return to center
Dharana – Concentration and focus of mind
Dhyana – Meditation and embodied awareness
Samadhi – Union and liberation
This layered, compassionate approach allows each student to meet the teachings at their own pace and level of readiness.
