For the first time ever, Mamabowls (Korean Fusion Kitchen) and Yummy Africana (African Kitchen) are joining forces for a one-night-only collab that will take your tastebuds from Seoul to Lagos in a single bite.
After three years of being neighbours, cheering each other on, and sharing countless kitchen stories across cultures. One day we sat down and thought — what if we bring it all together? 💡
That’s how Afriko Night was born 🌍✨
Mamabowls (Korean Fusion Kitchen) and Yummy Africana (African Kitchen) are finally coming together for something truly special: Afriko Night — the very first African-Korean fusion food event in town!
Born from friendship and mutual respect, Afriko is more than just dinner — it’s a celebration of culture, flavour, music and community. One casual sit-down turned into a bold idea: what if we brought together the soulful spices of West Africa with the vibrant heat and harmony of Korean cuisine?
So we did.
A celebration where Korean fusion meets African soul, right here in Wageningen.
On the menu?
🍴 Afriko Bites – crispy favourites to start the night
🥢 Afrobap – Bibimbap layered with African beef stew (or vegan/veggie love)
🔥 Jollofbap – smoky Jollof rice with Korean Fried Chicken or cauliflower
🍨 Afriko Desserts – sweet plantain twists to end on a high note
And because food tastes better with music, we’ve got a special DJ keeping the vibes alive all night long 🎶💃
