Come join Fluid Dynamics and Team Horizon for our Vertical Dayz Camp at Skydive Voss!!
Vertical Dayz is a skill camp is designed for intermediate to advance flyers who want to progress their vertical / freefly skills in a small group setting.
Intermediate groups will be working on the fundamentals of vertical formation flying (what is level, slot, dock?) including different ways to exit the aircraft HU/HD, slow and fast fall rates, high fives and how to approach and break off from a formation. Advance groups will be working on diving/floating exits, 360 turns, carving, docking or breaking in, and VFS / sequential style dive flows.
Participants will be grouped based on skill level and either HU or HD orientation. *You must work on one orientation for the 2days.
Minimum requirements for HU:
150 skydives
Must be able to hold and fly static HU the entire skydive
Must be on level within 15ft of the base/leader, without excessive movement
Must be able to fly safely in a group of 6 (5, plus coach)
Must be able to break off safely onto back and track away from centre of the formation
Minimum requirements for HD:
150 skydives
Must be able to hold and fly static HD the entire skydive
Must be on level within 15ft of the base/leader, without excessive movement
Must be able to fly safely in a group of 6 (5, plus coach)
Must be able to break off safely by turning 180 from centre of the formation and track away
*If you do not yet meet these minimum requirements please get in touch to organize 1:1 coaching as this is the best way to learn good habits from the start.
Camp Format:
- 2 day camp (July 3rd & 4th)
- Skydive Voss
- Must commit to 6 jumps (weather permitting)
- Group sizes are 5 participants plus coach
- 40 minute calls giving people time to pack, watch video of jump, brief the next jump
- The day will start with a seminar/briefing on flying techniques and safety considerations before jumping starts.
Cost and registration:
- Registration is €175, plus one jump ticket (to help cover the coaches slots)
- Registration does not include your jump tickets
