Bondebryllaup på gamlemåten!

Holsdagen syner fram korleis eit bondebryllaup vart gjennomført på 1800-talet i Øvre Hallingdal, og har vore arrangert årleg sidan 1957. Her kan du oppleve fleire av dei fremste utøvarane innan spel, song og dans frå Hallingdal, lære om lokale bryllaupsskikkar og få glimt frå historiske hendingar.

Holsdagen er ein viktig formidlar av
lokal folkemusikk og folkedans, lokale bryllaupsskikkar, mattradisjonar og lokalhistorie. Arrangementet formidlar òg den særskilde drakttradisjonen som finst i Øvre Hallingdal, både innan ulike folkedrakter og hovudplagg.

Arrangementet startar med vigsle i Hol Gamle Kyrkje, og fortset så med brudeferd til hest langs Holsfjorden med påfølgande kulturprogram på Hol Bygdamuseum.
