JTEKT is one of the largest steering systems, driveline components, bearings and machine tools manufacturers in the world. These positions are temp-to-hire and interested candidates will need to pass a background check and drug screening.

JOB OPENINGS & PAY RATES
– Assembly Technician: $16.00 - $17.00/hour
– Material Handler: $16.00 - $17.00/hour
*Pay rates for each are depending on shift

Assembly Technicians & Material Handlers
Plant 1 Shift Hours:
– 2nd (2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.)
– 3rd ( 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.)
Plant 2 Shift Hours:
– 2nd (2:45 p.m. - 11:45 p.m.)
– 3rd ( 10:45 p.m. - 7:15 a.m.)

ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN
REQUIREMENTS
– Meet production requirements set by the customer
– Follow safety standards and policies
– Ability to multi-task
– Read/write in order to perform tasks
– Lift up to 32lbs repetitively
– Follow work instructions in order to manufacture quality products per Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices
– All other duties as assigned
RESPONSIBILITIES
– Operate equipment, utilize air tools and gages to assemble components safely
– Perform duties such as installing, inserting, torquing, purging, wiping and inspecting parts for quality and cosmetic defects
– Operate production machines and equipment using buttons on control panel; observe test equipment and assist with troubleshooting
– Visually inspect parts for damage and defects, such as porosity, roughness or cosmetic imperfections
– Perform 5S duties including mopping, sweeping, wiping machines, taping floors, and cleaning walkways
– Read and comprehend work process charts, graphs, measuring instruments, and pokayokes
– Rotate throughout various production loops
– Replenish or stock parts as necessary
– Participate in kaizen activities including Quality Circles
– Work daily overtime and Saturdays and/or Sundays when directed by immediate supervisor or, as necessary, to complete essential job duties.
MATERIAL HANDLER
REQUIREMENTS
– Excellent fine motor skills; finger, hand, and wrist dexterity
– Ability to walk approximately 6-7 miles over a 8-10 hour day
– Ability to stand for duration of shift; perform repetitive motions while walking or standing
– Ability to regularly lift up to 32 pounds
RESPONSIBILITIES
– Operate mobile equipment safely and efficiently
– Complete Kanban orders for material quantity and deliver to assigned assembly, machining, powder coat or hose assembly lines
– Scan Kanban cards to relieve inventory
– Ensure material is properly identified
– Follow FiFo System
– Comply with company PPE requirements
– Maintain inventory accuracy
– Report concerns to Team Leader
– Work daily overtime and Saturdays and/or Sundays when directed by immediate supervisor or, as necessary, to complete essential job duties.
– Maintain 5s
– Perform other duties as assigned
