Grief affects both the body and mind, creating tension, heaviness, and emotional overwhelm. This 90-minute class offers a compassionate space to move through loss with gentle yoga, breathwork, sound therapy and group discussion. Led by Eileen Gavin, E-RYT 200, LMT, a Certified Compassionate Bereavement Care Yoga Instructor (CBC-Yoga), this practice is designed to help release physical tightness, cultivate awareness, and support emotional healing.
Eileen completed a 60-hour specialized training in Arizona through the MISS Foundation, an organization dedicated to grief support. She studied under Dr. Joanne Cacciatore, a tenured professor and grief researcher, and Karla Helbert, a licensed professional counselor, yoga teacher, and author of Yoga for Grief and Loss. This training integrates yoga with science-based grief research to provide a gentle, compassionate approach to healing.
