How can you support the LGBTQ community? Ray West, local performer and event coordinator, is hosting a fundraiser festival on August 10th to demonstrate what’s possible when you bring people together.

Non-Profit Equality Festival with Ray West: VB Loves LGBTQ

As a member of the LGBTQ community herself, Ray West felt compelled to host an event dedicated to informing people of how to support this population. The festival will take place on August 10th from 6pm-10pm at The Void, another organization dedicated to the growth of local artists of all mediums. She stresses that people need to come together for a cause that is greater than themselves, and hopes that with the help of her friends and mentors, we can see a community founded upon itself with strength and unity.
VB Loves LQBTQ is $25 for admission, and all of the earnings will be donated to Equality Virginia, a nonprofit organization that stands for the rights of all people in the LGBTQ community. There will be visual art/entertainment, music, massage therapy, and face painting throughout the day. The objective of this festival is to spread awareness about the struggles members of this community face and what we can do to support them. Ticket sales are at the door which will be exchanged with an informative brochure of what Equality Virginia is and how you can be a part of it.
