Help Evelyn Fight Cancer: A Loving Mother and Friend in Need
We come to you today with a heartfelt request to support an extraordinary woman, Evelyn Loyola Massey. Evelyn is a devoted mother to three wonderful children, a proud grandmother, a beloved friend, and a shining light in her Virginia Beach community. She has spent her life spreading love, kindness, and support to those around her, and now, she needs our help.
Recently, Evelyn received the heartbreaking diagnosis of Stage 4 Liver and Colon Cancer. Despite the devastating news, she is facing this challenge with incredible courage and resilience. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and preparing for surgery in the coming months—a journey that is not only physically and emotionally taxing but also financially overwhelming.
As you can imagine, the medical expenses, treatment costs, and day-to-day living expenses are mounting rapidly. Evelyn, who has always been the first to lend a helping hand, now finds herself in need of the same love and support she has so generously given to others.
We are reaching out to ask for your kindness and generosity to help Evelyn through this difficult time. Your contributions will go directly toward:
Covering her medical expenses, including chemotherapy, surgery, and follow-up care.
Providing financial support for essential living expenses, allowing her to focus fully on her recovery.
Evelyn’s positivity, strength, and love for her family inspire everyone around her. But no one should have to face this battle alone. As a devoted grandmother, she treasures the time she spends with her grandchildren, and your support will help ensure she can continue making precious memories with them.
The owner of 615 Bar & Grill- JR has graciously agreed to hold this event at his establishment.
Here is the information from the meeting with JR.
Per JR, We will need at least 8 people to help and support the following:
1. Auction - if you know anyone that can be a sponsor for electronics, concert tickets, grills, hotel overnight stay, SPA package, restaurant gift cards, music instruments, bicycle, fishing trips, motorcycle ( if someone is trying to sell their bikes) helmets, leather jacket etc. willing to donate or any of these items.
2. Bake sale - will ask friends to participate and willing to, or if you'd like to bake and be a part of bake sales and funds, goes to fundraising.
3. Raffle tickets, I'll buy the roll of tickets ( I think Dollar Tree has it). Need your opinion or ideas for winning items.
If you can find it in your heart to volunteer with the auction, bakery, or raffle, we’d be forever grateful!!
The meetings start on:
June 29th
July 6th
July 13th
July 20th
July 27th is the event at 1 pm at 615 and will be there early at least 10 am to set up.
If you’re unable to donate financially, you can still make a meaningful impact by sharing this campaign with others or by keeping Evelyn and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
Let’s rally together and show Evelyn just how loved and supported she is! Together, we can help her fight this battle with the strength and love she so deeply deserves.
