SALVADOR SOBRAL (vokalas, fortepijonas, perkusija, Portugalija / vocals, piano, percussion, Portugal)
EN: Their names have entered Portugal’s music history. They have enchanted the world with their talent. Both have given concerts in Lithuania, and at this year’s Christopher festival Luísa and Salvador Sobral will appear together on stage for the first time! Their joint concerts are a true rarity, so you’re certainly in store for a special evening.
Each musician is making their own way with confidence: Luísa is a prominent Portuguese composer and performer whose sensitive, elegant melodies enchant audiences from the very first bar. Salvador is a vocalist, whom the legendary Caetano Veloso has referred to as “one of the greatest singers in existence”. His music is pure emotion, a fusion of jazz and fado, opening listeners’ hearts and drawing in their attention.
If you follow Eurovision, you’re sure to know “Amar pelos dois” – a moving song that gave Portugal its first win in the contest in 2017. Luísa was its author, while it was performed by Salvador, and thus both of them became a part of music history.
Here you’ll discover them not only as exceptional musicians but as a family too – a sister and brother united by their shared existence, authentic bond, and of course, the most beautiful of melodies.
Programme features original compositions by Sobrals and others
