Warm, comfortable, open and relaxing. This is how to describe the perfect antidote to the month of February. This class is one of gentle release and rest. The practice of restorative yoga helps guide you inwards as you relax on props that support your body so your mind can rest. It's a beautiful practice to move you away from the chill and busyness that you may find overwhelming this time of year. Postures are encouraged to be in a place of passive opening, the body is kept warm, comfortable and easy as we listen to soft music and the quiet vibration of a sound bowl. Essential oils are wafting through the air as you are led to connect to your breath, your heart center and your inner Self. The practice is definitely a tool towards healing old injuries, negative emotions as well as stress and tension.
There is a theme winter begs us to listen to, divine surrendering. This will also be our theme for class. Allowing things to be as they are in this moment, to trust timing, presence and messages from the divine. Peace starts within and that is where we can begin again.
In only 90 minutes you will leave feeling rested, relaxed and inspired towards the practice of self care and healing. Please bring your own cozy blanket and an eye pillow if you have one, wear warm comfortable clothing.
