Hope Is a Song: A Documentary by Stella Saleh

Hope Is a Song explores the depth, beauty, and evolution of Persian music — its traditions, influences, and enduring spirit. The film begins with an intimate look at classical Persian music before traveling to Egypt to examine the role of music in the ancient Middle East. In Los Angeles, Stella Saleh meets with Persian scholars to reflect on the timeless dialogue between music and poetry. Through conversations with musicians, scholars, and cultural voices, this documentary celebrates the universal power of music to inspire, connect, and transcend boundaries.

A Q&A will follow the film, with Sogand Seirafi as moderator.

Advance ticket purchase is required due to shared information regarding parking and building entry. Walk-ins will not be accommodated. Tickets are non-refundable.
