This in-person workshop offers targeted support for professionals affected by recent cuts in federal government and related sectors. The workshop will provide hands-on guidance in identifying transferable skills, building a personal brand, navigating the hidden job market through networking, and developing strong interview techniques.

Participants will also explore how to use modern tools and strategies to navigate today’s job market—from crafting targeted private-sector resumes that pass Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to leveraging platforms like LinkedIn, ChatGPT, and Jobscan to strengthen their search.

Whether you’re early in your career or a seasoned executive, this session provides an actionable roadmap for re-entering the workforce in today’s competitive environment.

About the Presenter

Lisa Colten is a Career Transition Coach and Senior Human Resources Leader with decades of experience guiding professionals through organizational change and career development. She has held leadership roles at American Express and consulting firms across industries including government contracting, non-profits, and financial services, and has gone on to found Éxzeto, her own human resources and career transition professional services firm.

Participants who register for the workshop and do not attend or cancel their registration less than 24 hours prior to the start of the program, will not receive a refund.

Participants who are not able to attend and have contacted the Women’s Center 24 hours prior to the workshop can re-schedule for the same workshop on another day, up to 6 months after the initial workshop date.

Full refunds will be issued for any program cancelled by The Women’s Center. If the program is rescheduled, we will offer to transfer the cost to the new date in lieu of a refund.
