Here in time for Pride, Sappho’s Isle is back and gayer than ever!
Grab your pride flags and come celebrate Pride at Victoria's only all-Sapphic burlesque show. The first Pride was a riot and we are here to uphold that tradition. Come and indulge in an evening of revolution, revelry and, of course, all things Sapphic.
The show will take place July 24 at Ollie Quinn, doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm. Discounted Early Bird tickets are on sale until July 3 (or sold out) for $25, and $35 after that.
Pride at Sappho's Isle is a reprise of last year from Ink Splatters Productions, a queer-focused production company started by Missy Ink.
The show will feature Sylvester Stalletto, Chérie Coquette, Jabba the Butt, Gulabi, Cuntastrophe, Hazel Nuez, Your Royal Hiney and Missy Ink along with our two Rising Stars Avarice Miss and Snoozie Buttons, hosted by Serra Moanie.
The show will run approximately two hours, with ten acts and a 15 minute intermission. There will not be a tip number, but tips will be collected after each act going to a communal tip pool.
Ollie Quinn has ramps that can be put in place at both doors if needed and while the venue itself has a relatively small washroom, there is a bar next door who has an accessible washroom that we will have access
This show will take place on the unceded and unsurrendered lands of the Lkwungen-speaking people of the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations. These Indigenous peoples have been on this land since time immemorial and are still here today. Most of us are uninvited guests here on this land and it is a great privilege we have to be able to create here.
Ink Splatters strives to be a safe and inclusive space for all people and to produce shows that are representative of the beautiful diversity in our community. We committed to creating a sex positive, anti-racist, queer-friendly, body positive and accessible environment at my shows. Performers and audience members will also be held to these standards so that anyone can come into this space and enjoy the art that is being put on stage.
