Co-founder of the legendary Body Language party series in Vancouver BC and alumni of Shambhala, Basscoast, Tall Tree, Soundwave...Woodhead emerged from the west coast outdoor festival circuit and landed as a resident at the Lotus Sound Lounge and the infamous burlesque club The Dollhouse in the mid 2000s,
Cementing his role as a community builder, Dj and producer over the next two decades.
There was also a mobile sauna that brought Woodhead to the attention of many in Western Canada’s dance music scene. Beginning in 2001 these weekly sauna-slash-DJ parties in East Vancouver became a cultural hub for a group of Vancouver creatives. The ensuing Podcast and events brought the sound of sauna to the world while the outdoor shower and thumping beats captured the attention of the neighbours.
Shortly after studying music in Nelson BC after high school, his remixes appeared on NYC’s Palm Out Sounds seeing thousands of downloads leading to releases on labels worldwide including Tilted Records(US) Masterworks(UK) Royal Soul(Brazil) Substation(Can.) Editorial (Montreal Can.) MSLX(Can.) Homebreakin Records(Can.) Sheppard Records(Can.)
Woodhead's sets get better every year and are guaranteed to bring the vibe he is famous for. Who else can DJ in a 100 degree wooden box or battling 90km winds on Canada's rugged west coast?

For years, Andfriends, dubbed Nanaimo’s Disco Ambassador, has been broadcasting cheesy italo, stale house with a side of expired nu disco over the airwaves on CHLY 101.7 FM every Thursday night. It’s a chance to dig through dance music’s history and pull together the best tracks to shape his live sets. Infamously known for his uncoordinated & flailing dance moves both in front of and behind the decks, Andfriends tries to not take anything too seriously – so let’s just dance and have some fun!

There’s nothing ancient about Primitive’s sound or technique. Pushing the DJ and rave lifestyle in the Pacific Northwest since 2000, supporting the community by creating a slew of residencies, coordinating gigs for other DJs, promoting shows and developing the culture through platforms like Party People Sound Solutions, Primitive Hustle, Footwork Entertainment and PK Sound Victoria. He is currently the booking manager for The Downbeat event centre. Creating connections and allies, trailing a wake of inspired revellers hungry for more. Primitive’s art and output has been strengthened through many collaborations. All Primitive ever wanted was to rock a party and he is guaranteed to create a sweaty mess on the dance floor. Never one to be limited by genre, Primitive’s sound connects the dots between Techno, House, Breaks and Acid, while also dabbling in offshoots of Drum and Bass including Footwork, Juke, Half Time, and Jungle. A DJ’s DJ that can burn down any dance, Primitive sets are system flexing- think big psychedelic festival set crossed with sweaty late night house party and be ready to get all the way down.

Louisa, aka Weezie, is a Victoria-based DJ steadily building a reputation as one of the Garden City’s favorite house selectors. This past year marked a debut at Bass Coast Festival, and saw her featured on lineups at Paradise [Vancouver] and Club Loading. Known for her warm, groove-focused sets, her sound balances nostalgia and playfulness in equal measure. Expect moments that are as emotionally resonant as they are dancefloor-driven, with selections that keep dancers locked in and lifted

When you have explored as many styles as Hrdvsion has - everything from beatless, ambient tracks to rugged club cuts or pop bootlegs - there isn’t so much new ground to break.
That said, with time Hrdvsion's need to challenge the norm has eased and their boundlessly experimental streak has become more focused. Their impressive discography, spread across labels such as Wagon Repair, 20:20 Vision, Rinse and International Deejay Gigolo, hints at a producer who has valued diversity above all, with records that have been long turned to by DJs right across the board, always guaranteeing them a striking and unusual sound.
Now, without the pressure to surprise and re-invent, Hrdvsion can go deeper into their craft and pinpoint what it is that linked their output over the years.
