About the event

Beyond the Wall: Curating Graffiti Jams in Public Spaces
By Design: A Journey Through Arts and Culture Talk Series

Dive into the art and culture of graffiti jams—events where urban artists come together to create, collaborate, and celebrate urban expression. Jason and Laura-Beth share how they navigated the challenges of organizing within a subculture that thrives on spontaneity and resistance to structure. Using the Trackside Paint Jam as a compelling case study, this talk will explore graffiti as a vibrant and essential component of public art in Victoria; showcasing how it bridges divides and transforms urban landscapes. Whether you're an art enthusiast, a cultural curator, or simply curious about the world of street art, this session will inspire you to see graffiti in a whole new light.
