Shall we gather in a laboratory of embodied astrology?
But what does that mean?
Simply put, embodied astrology is a type of experiential astrology that focuses on embodiment. Experiential astrology however offers many ways to experience astrology other than the traditional intellectual way.
The roots of this practice stretch back 2000 years to the Mysteries of Elysium and power of ritualistic theatre (which we'll talk about) but a lot of what we do now, especially with astrodrama, was developed more fully in the 1970s and 80s, as part of the human potential movement. Inspired by psychodrama, constellation work, the psychotherapy of Carl Jung and humanistic astrology of Dane Rhudyar.
Instead of intellectual experiencing, archetypal experiencing is typically done through art, relational practices, enactment, or embodiment practices of some kind.
In the astrodrama its through planetary role-play structured by a particular horoscope or dynamic in the chart.
If the archetypes are alive, as we believe they are, what is it like when they come alive in our lives or even live through us? Is a baseline inquiry.
In this workshop we will evoke key astrological archetypes through experiential methods as a kind of warm-up for the astrodrama.

Greetings friends,
For this workshop we'll be exploring Mercury through movement, image, relating and role-playing.
During the astrodrama we'll re-enact the Sun and Mercury's transit through Gemini and into Cancer including its meeting with Jupiter.
In terms of linear time this would represent roughly May 20-June 23, 2025, leading us perfectly into the summer solstice.
Things you need to know for the workshop
You do not need to have any acting experience or particular astrology knowledge to participate. Experience in relational practices, constellation work or improv however, can be a nice asset.
There is no expectation or requirement to participate in any way that doesn't feel good. The drama will unfold with its own intelligence. You can't really do it wrong.
This is an experimental, relational space created for the safe, judgment free exploration of the symbolic, archetypal language of astrology.
Although this form of group work has therapeutic value, it is not therapy, or about trying to fix, heal or change anyone or any situation. It is more about experiencing and being with.
Life is a mystery and miraculously, in spaces like this, mystery can speak through us in words, images and realizations, bringing information to the intellect from unseen places that have fruit to bear that we may otherwise miss, in this 'day-consciousness' focused world. Let us meet in the twilight.

It seems fitting that we would follow-up last astrodrama's focus on Venus with a focus on Mercury--given their mutually critical, and interwoven, roles of these two in this year's astrology.
Fortune favours those who develop their inner Venusian and Mercurial aspects this year--could be an interpretation of the equinox chart for 2025--with both Mercury and Venus joined in the tunnel of the dragon, the space between eclipses, at the start of the astrological new year.
