Author Event - Anita McBride

Anita McBride, former Chief of Staff to First Lady of the United
States, Laura Bush, will visit Vicksburg with her special picture book, "First Ladies Make History".

Anita and co-author and daughter, Giovanna McBride, explain there is no rule book defining the role of the first lady, yet the first ladies have worked hard to make the world a better place for more than two hundred years.

This book takes young readers on a journey with first ladies
and discovers the important contributions they have made
throughout American history.

Copies are available at Gilbert and Ivy before and during the event.
