In this introductory masterclass, producer Søren Fleng guides participants through the many roles and responsibilities of the animation producer. Drawing on real-world experience from the international industry, Søren provides an overview of the essential skills, mindset, and tools needed to thrive in the producer role — whether working on short films, series, or large-scale productions.
This session sets the stage for the rest of Filmværksted Viborg’s Animation Producer Programme and gives participants a strong foundation for understanding and navigating the producer’s role.
This event is a collaboration between Viborg Animation Festival and Filmværksted Viborg to kick off the FVV Animation Producer Programme.
ABOUT SØREN
Søren Fleng is an experienced and results-driven Executive Producer with over 25 years of experience in the international animation and media industry.
He has led and advised on the development, financing, production, and exploitation of creative projects—including TV series and feature films—with budgets of up to EUR 25 million.
Søren’s credits include Angry Birds Toons, which he produced for Rovio Entertainment, and he has worked with major players such as Tencent, SYBO, and Seriously Entertainment. His focus is on global kids’ entertainment.
He brings solid expertise in project finance, change management, and production workflow optimization, and thrives at the intersection of creativity and business.
Søren combines strategic insight with hands-on experience. He’s accustomed to working in fast-paced, international environments, where he drives productivity and quality through clear organization and effective communication.
