🍳 The Art of Cooking: Covering the Basics

For Ages 1–18

🗓️ Class Schedule:

Every other Thursday at 12 PM & Saturday at 2 PM

⏱️ Duration: 1.5–2 hours per class

Let your child or teen gain confidence, independence, and life-long skills — one meal at a time.

In this hands-on cooking class, students will prepare a simple and satisfying meal of home fries, eggs, and toast using safe, beginner-friendly kitchen tools like electric skillets. It's a fun, supportive introduction to real cooking with a big focus on self-reliance and healthy habits.

👩‍🍳 What Students Will Learn:

• Food prep basics
• Meal planning and cooking techniques
• Safe use of accessible kitchen tools (electric skillets, air fryers, crock pots, and more)
• Skills to foster independence and self-care

All classes are taught and supervised by either our Certified Life & Health Coach, Siobhan Alban Ashley Serbonich, or Beyond the Spectrum Program Founder, Rebecca Whitman, as part of our Art of Life Program. We treat cooking as more than a class — it’s a core life skill that empowers students to take care of themselves and make healthier choices.

📆 Registration: Required at least 3 days before each session to allow us to prep fresh ingredients and ensure everyone has the proper materials
