Beginner Color Theory: Watercolor Painting - Lakeside Paradise

Learning art is fun and easy with our tiered beginner level painting classes. 

Class Description: Learn and apply the fundamentals of color theory as you paint a warm sunset glow on water using watercolor paints. Students will be introduced to color theory as they are guided step-by-step through the painting process by an experienced instructor. This one-day class will provide a sneak peak of our upcoming 9-week watercolor course - Using Color to Paint Light.

This class will be approximately 3 hours in length but may take longer if required. We recommend this class for teens and adults.

More Information: Our Back to the Basics Classes are level 1 in a three-level beginner series. In this level class we teach basic brush strokes and color blending using watercolor paint. Our instructors use a small color pallet and simple techniques to allow the student to become confident with how the paint and brushes work. You will learn how to use water properly alongside the paint to create a beautiful painting on watercolor paper.  

There is an art to using water-based paint as it is unique from other mediums. We help you to quickly and easily learn this classic art medium. Students will learn how to express themselves in a unique and individual way with personal color choices and basic design.
