Activity Name: Two-Week Expanding the Basics Acrylic Painting Workshop

Age Range: 12- Adult

Dates: Saturdays September 13th & 20th from 11am-2pm

Activity Description: Express your creative side with this fun and rewarding 2-Week Expanding the Basics Acrylic Painting Workshop. This workshop is part of our Big Cats collection - see our upcoming schedule for more information. In this class, students will paint a majestic black panther on a 16 x 20 canvas using acrylic paint. With step-by-step guidance from an experienced artist, participants will step into using color and texture to move your eye around the painting and make it come to life before your eyes. We will focus on how to mix colors and create a pleasing color pallet. At the end of the workshop, participants will go home with a unique and creative art piece.
This workshop takes place once every week for two weeks, as the painting is detailed and requires more than one sitting to complete. Each session is approximately 3 hours long. This is a total of 6 hours of instruction over the course of the workshop.

More Information: This is considered a Level 2 Beginner Class. This class level is perfect for beginner level painters wishing to advance and build upon what we teach in our one-day beginner level paint classes. In this level, the student will learn the fundamentals of painting and color blending and the basic skills needed to create an amazing painting, guided by an experienced artist. This class expands on the basic fundamentals taught in our Back to the Basics Level 1 classes allowing the students to expand their talents and create a beautiful piece of art. We teach you to take an idea and make it your own by using your creativity. We believe in you and would love to help you to bring the amazing benefits of art into your life.
