Bavaria Sausage has been a cornerstone of the Fitchburg community for years, renowned for its commitment to quality, authenticity, and the art of traditional meat processing. Their products were recently judged according to traditional standards by German representatives from Deutscher Fleischer-Verband (DFV) and American Association of Meat Processors (AAMP) at a prestigious competition in Ames, IA, where they received 49 medals and the “Cup of Honour," which not only recognizes the excellence of specific products, but also the overall quality of a producer.
We met with Bavaria owner Scott Stowell to find the perfect meats to pair with the complex, fruit-forward, and often peppery character of some of the world's greatest Syrah.
