About the event

Responding to Relationships: Moms Group
The purpose of this therapy group is to provide a compassionate and empowering space for women who are navigating the complexities of separating from narcissistic partners while co-parenting their children. This group is designed to address the unique emotional challenges women face in these situations, fostering healing, resilience, and self-empowerment.

Through shared experiences and therapeutic support, we aim to create a sense of community where participants can gather strength and insight from one another. Our sessions will focus on several key goals:

Emotional Healing

To create a safe and supportive environment where participants can openly express their feelings, share their stories, and process their experiences related to narcissistic relationships and co-parenting challenges.

Education and Awareness

To provide information about narcissistic behavior, its effects on individuals and families, and strategies for coping with and making decisions in unhealthy relationship dynamics.

Coping Strategies

The goal is to equip participants with practical tools and techniques for managing stress, anxiety, and emotional pain. This includes mindfulness practices, communication skills, and conflict-resolution strategies that can be applied to co-parenting situations.

Boundary Setting

The goal is to empower women to establish and maintain healthy boundaries with their ex-partners, helping them regain control over their lives and protect their emotional well-being.

Self-Identity and Empowerment

To encourage self-reflection and personal growth, assisting women in rediscovering their strengths, interests, and identity beyond the relationship. This will help cultivate a sense of self-worth and confidence.

Positive Co-Parenting

To develop effective co-parenting strategies that prioritize the emotional and developmental needs of children while minimizing conflict and promoting healthy communication with ex-partners.

Goal Setting and Future Planning

To assist participants in setting meaningful personal and co-parenting goals that align with their values and aspirations, enabling them to move forward with clarity and purpose.

By addressing these goals, we believe that each woman will leave the group feeling more empowered, informed, and prepared to navigate her new reality as a separated individual and co-parent, ultimately leading to healthier relationships with herself and her children. Together, we will build a foundation of support and resilience that fosters healing and growth.
