Calling all runners! Or sometimes runners! Or aspiring runners!
We had so much fun at our first pop-up, we decided to do it again.
Join Shannon on Friday, September 5th from 5-7 PM for a pop-up class that will combine a short trail run followed by a yoga class designed to specifically target the tension and stiffness felt by runners.
Did you know that the Rockville Spur of the Hop River State Park Trail (a 4.2 mile section of the beautiful Rails-to-Trails path through Vernon) passes right behind Sweet Lotus? This easy, mostly level crushed stone path leads you over the Tankerhoosen River and through a stunning wooded corridor that takes you toward Bolton in one direction and Ellington in the other.
Did you also know that learning to mindfully move your body and care for your joints and muscles can unlock new potential in your running? Awareness of how you move, hold, and favor certain body parts can help you to run without back pain and recover without cramping.
Join Shannon for this fun hybrid class of yoga and running and maybe discover a new favorite running path (or a new love of running).
This class is suitable for all levels of running and walking with turnaround points for a 2.5 mile and a 1.5 mile run, although you’ll be able to turn around at any point if you prefer to head back early.
We will meet at Sweet Lotus before the class and walk to the rail trail together. Please wear appropriate running shoes and bring water. You will have the ability to lock up your yoga gear inside the studio before we take off on our trail run.
Regular class rates apply. Drop in for $18 or use a credit from your class card. Special Classes like this one are included with all Unlimited memberships.
