Kathy Murillo is a licensed Occupational Therapist with over 35 years of experience, specializing in John F. Barnes Myofascial Release (MFR). She began her journey with MFR in 2010, drawn to the work by its profound ability to access both the physical and emotional layers of healing. Over the years—and through numerous advanced trainings—Kathy has come to appreciate the beautiful paradox of MFR: its simultaneous complexity and simplicity. Now recognized by John F. Barnes as having achieved "Expert Level" in the MFR approach, Kathy remains deeply committed to continued learning, always honoring the evolving nature of both the work and the human body. She believes the depth of healing available through MFR is limited only by the client's willingness to engage, making each session uniquely personal and transformative. Kathy’s background as an Occupational Therapist allows her to integrate a strong clinical foundation with a holistic perspective. She brings a compassionate, intuitive approach to her work, informed not only by decades of professional experience but also by her personal journey as the mother of a son on the autism spectrum. This lived experience gives her a deep respect for individuality and the understanding that we are all more than our diagnoses.
