Botanic Gardens Biodiversity Day

Join us in the garden as we go on a botanical treasure hunt!

Learn the SEEK app and iNaturalist, which help you identify plants and animals in your community. A perfect family activity, we will meet in the lower garden, play games about the benefits of biodiversity, and then head into the garden to try to identify as many plants and animals as possible. Don't miss this fun way to celebrate all that is in bloom right here in Ventura. Registration is limited to 30 people. FREE!

Hosted by ecologist and educator Melissa B. Wilder. Melissa is a trained California Naturalist who holds a Master of Arts in Sustainability from Harvard University and a Master of Science in Environmental Education. She founded The Little Blue Creche, a nature-based nursery school and day camp, and is the visionary behind The Blue School, a forest charter school coming to Ventura.
