About the event

Ventnor Boat Works History Presentation
Please join us on September 30 at 6:30 pm for a free presentation by George Wimberg Sr. about the Ventnor Boat Works. Established in 1902 by Adolph Emil Apel in Ventnor Heights, the company earned international acclaim for its pioneering designs in racing boats. During World War II, production shifted to West Atlantic City to focus on manufacturing aircraft rescue boats and submarine chasers. Mr. Wimberg is the proud owner of the 'Mis'Leading Lady,' a restored E-class racing boat built by Apel in 1928 and carefully preserved by the Independence Seaport Museum in Philadelphia.
