This series is a basic introduction to the use of tessellations as a way of creating art in a relaxing environment. Tessellations are repeated geometric patterns that fill up a surface, leaving no gaps.
In this hands-on session, attendees will create unique notecards using custom tessellations.
Tessellations are repeated patterns that fill a surface, leaving no gaps. They appear in famous artwork of M.C. Escher and mosaic designs from around the world. Not only is it easy to learn, but this method is also a relaxing and versatile way to produce unique images that start with simple forms.
Aimed at older adults, with all adults welcome!
