August is a busy time for Pincourt. Fireman's day on the 9th. Softball tournament the 21st. But nestled between the two of those, is an event some might argue (me, I would argue that) is actually the highlight of the summer calendar. My birthday.
A time when it is perfectly acceptable and honestly. expected, to indulge in shenanigans, mischief, devilment, gentle misbehaviour, and for those of you that choose to, moral grey areas.
This year, more than the others, and as some of you know, after the Netflix special I have lived through the last few months (sadly not hyperbole) I realise that life is firmly for living and I would honestly love if you would come and do that with me.
I have some cobwebs to blow away and to start fresh.
So here's the deal. Smittys Bar in Pincourt are laying on the 80's decorations, the 80's playlist, and even the karaoke for those of us who indulge, maybe we can even ask nicely for a drink special or 2, and all we need to do is turn up.
I am hoping you will want to dress in theme, 80's special, please. I would love it if you wanted to come thrift shopping with me and go real vintage, but if you just want to throw some deely boppers on your head and come hang out, I would love that just as much.
I have a new path ahead, and I can not think of a better way to start it than celebrating the past we left behind.
The bar will stay open to the public, so feel free to bring friends, the more there are, the better the questionable choices ;)
And if I missed your name off the invitation list, but you are seeing this anyway, it still counts. Come drink a Pina Colada and get caught in the rain :P
