Suomalainen barokkiorkesteri (FiBO) ja baritoni Aarne Pelkonen maalaavat ranskalaisen barokin maiseman, jossa kohtaa sekä hoviloisto että inhimillinen tunne.
François Couperinin La Piemontoise avaa konsertin eleganssilla ja tanssillisella vivahteikkuudella. Uuden säveltäjäsukupolven ääni, Lara Poe, tuo mukaan oman sävelkielensä – kommentaarina, jatkumona tai vastavoimana. Konsertin toinen puolisko kuljettaa kuulijan Lullyn ja Rameaun oopperakatkelmien kautta tunteiden ja kohtalon draamaan, jossa barokkinen tyyli loistaa koko kirkkautensa kirjossa.

The Finnish Baroque Orchestra (FiBO) and baritone Aarne Pelkonen paint a French Baroque landscape where courtly splendour meets deeply human emotion.
The concert opens with François Couperin’s La Piemontoise, a work of elegance and dance-like nuance. Joining this is the voice of a new generation—composer Lara Poe—whose music offers commentary, continuation, or contrast to the Baroque aesthetic. The second half leads the listener through excerpts from operas by Lully and Rameau, unfolding a drama of emotion and fate, where the brilliance of the Baroque style is revealed in all its vivid colours.
