Global BIG DAY/WEEKEND Lodging and Birding Packages

EVERYBIRDY is welcome to join the fun! Whether you're a skilled birder, or just learning, family, friends or solo, you'll be spending time with our expert local guide. To maximize the fun - and the number of bird species - we'll explore two adjacent but different habitats. We'll start in the desert (Uvalde 5/10) and finish in the Hill Country (Lost Maples area 5/11). Observations made on May 10th will contribute to 2025 Global Big Day counts. For both days' adventures you will receive shared eBird lists and a trip report authored by your guide.

The Lodges at Lost Maples will provide cozy, clean accommodations with your comfort in mind. The cabins are nestled in a valley off of FM337, one of Texas' most scenic drives. The property is an eBird site on the Heart of Texas Wildlife Trail (HOTW#59) and provides excellent birding opportunities with over 128 documented species. Each cabin has central air/heat, fully-equipped kitchenettes, private front and rear porches, hammocks, Wifi, bird feeders and lots of peace an quiet.
